Free Spirit

I am a free sprit
Always have been
Free like the blowing wind
The breeze you feel on your skin

I am meant to float among the clouds
To stand out in the crowds
I dance to the beat of my own drum
I’m the only one who knows the songs I hum
I am like a bird that lives to fly
Like a crack head who loves to get high
Clipping my wings fills me with rage
I’m a free spirit not built to be grounded or caged

My True Essence

A Kiss… Where it All Begins

They say kisses don’t lie
It’s the start of my sexual high
A good kiss is where it all begins
It shows why we’re lovers instead of friends

A deep, wet or gentle peck
Placed on the back of my neck
The spot that leaves my insides burning
Hot, bothered and yearning

A light brush of your lips on my collarbone
Ignites my pilot and sets the tone
Fills me with passion and desire
My body is sparkling like a hot live red wire

A tongue traveling down the middle of your back
All the way down to my butt crack
Planting kisses on my well sculptured cheeks
Causing my nipples to peak

A kiss… where it all begins

My True Essence

Caged Mind

You’re not blind but you still can’t see
You’re not chained but you’re still not free
You’re being held hostage by the restraints in your mind
Controlled by those who hurt you and treated you unkind

You don’t know how to love so you survive on hate
It keeps you on edge and always in a defensive state
You won’t let anyone break down your protective wall
So there’s no one there to help you up whenever you fall

You wear a mask to hide all of the hurt and pain
You shed tears but hide them by standing out in rain
Hoping the cleansing will wash all your problems away
Free you of the demons using you as their prey

You’re afraid there’s a thief coming to steal your dreams
The thief is out to destroy and break you down it seems
So your fear has kept you grounded and afraid to spread your wings
One day you’ll have to free your mind and face whatever life brings

My True Essence

Hungry…

You say you are hungry for me
Even starving you say
Like a homeless man without food on any given day
So how hungry are you really for me
Will you eat me like a buffet that’s free
An all you can eat coochie fest
Like the last piece of fried chicken breast
Or sop me up like homemade biscuits and gravy
Eat me up until I’m wild and crazy
So how hungry are you really for me…

My True Essence

Lost Child (Written for Bobbi Kristina Brown)

When I think of you
As I often do
I think of a lost child
Who has gone wild
One with no direction
Longing for affection
From the one no longer here

When I think of you
As I often do
I want to take you in my arms
Protect you from all harm
I want to console you
Hold you
Like the one gone used to

When I think of you
As I often do
I can see you standing in the rain
Trying to hide the tears and pain
Struggling to make it each day
Trying to handle it your way
I wish I had the right words to say

When I think of you
As I often do
I pray God helps you pull through
You have a lot of living left to do
She would not want this for you
So hold on and fight to live
Because even if you don’t believe it
You have so much left to give

My True Essence

Us…

I’m so glad you opened up your heart and let me in
I’m your lover, your confident, your friend
The one who has your back thru thick and thin
The one who will be standing with you at the end

Lord knows it hasn’t been easy getting to this point
We have had a lot of verbal fights in this joint
Saying and doing things we both would later regret
Not understanding how to forgive but never forget
Eventually you forgave me for acting like I didn’t need a man
I forgave you for making me think I wasn’t a part of your plan
Once we realized everything isn’t always peaches and cream
We learned to work together and make it happen as a team
As long as we breathe we’ll always have each other’s back
When one is lacking the other will pick up the slack
So you just keep being the man I know you to be
And I promise to always give you the best of me

When A Man is Ready…

There’s nothing like a good looking, confident man

He’s nice, smooth and cool like a ceiling fan
Smelling good leaving his scent wherever he goes
You don’t have to tell him because he already knows

He can have any woman he wants any given day

But that’s not the game he chooses to play
He’s grown and mature well pass the age of game playing
He’s interested in your mind and what you are saying

He’ll admit he’s had his share of women and fun
But now he’s ready to love and cherish the right one
Right one meaning she’s intelligent, loyal and kind
And if she can cook, he sure won’t mind

The lucky woman who captures his heart

Will be a bad sister, a pure work of art
Since he knows how to appreciate the finer things in life
He’ll have no problem appreciating his wife
